El Quito Quito! del Perú al mundo!

Hola amigos,

@marcorp I haven’t seen this fruit before. Is it a bit sour? Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

Mm…What interesting fruit @marcorp .

I have never heart about it.

Does it grow it the wild nature or in the garden!?

Thank you for sharing such unusual fruit.

I know many interesting things from your posts.

Thank you.

I’ve never seen this fruit @marcorp internally it looks a little like a finger lime which is available here in Australia which has a similar texture and acidity that you describe but it isn’t round and it isn’t furry. I wonder if they are distant relations?

@helga19 Hi there! As far as I remember it grows in the wild :). And yeah it’s very very tasty

@PaulPavlinovich maybe they are related… In Oxapampa is pretty common, actually the most popular juice is of course quito Quito juice, cheesecakes based on quito quito and many other products.

Hi @marcorp ,

Thanks for sharing!

The fruit has an interesting description and name (for which I am interested it’s origin, as well).

Somehow, I think it may be really close to the passion fruit, am I justified? : ]

@sonnyNg hello my friend, glad you liked the post! It´s not really close in taste to passion fruit to be quite honest, I think it´s just different… I will post videos of how to harvest the fruit and maybe another one making jelly or jouice using it… I am actually traveling to Oxapampa in a couple of days so more posts in the oven soon… best wishes!

Hi @marcorp ,

That would clear up all my doubts, much appreciated for that!

It would indeed be delightful, if we have the chance to learn more about the fruit. : ]
