Have you ever been out in public, either running errands or painting the town red, and thought to yourself “Wow! This place is awesome, I HAVE to let the virtual public know!” Or perhaps you experienced the complete opposite reaction to that establishment and feel the need to inform the virtual public about the disappointing experience? That’s what Google map reviews are for.
Google maps helps establish a public rating of businesses or places that help people plan their festivities such as dinner plans or tourism destinations, or help with finding the best rated local services such as pet grooming, nail salon, or even the best taxidermist in your area!
People have the ability now to research their options before even leaving the house, and when a local business has many reviews and a high rating people will automatically be drawn to it. But just like democracy , it only works best if EVERYONE leaves a review and participates .
That is why I take my time to always leave a review on Google when I visit a restaurant or Businesses , so that way not only do the owners of that business get to read about my experience and feel awesome about their service (or take it as constructive criticism for the bad reviews) but people are able to really get a feel for what is being offered in their community and can save the time from visiting a bunch of different places to only find out it wasn’t their type of environment.
A few words is all it takes for people to make an evaluation of a review post and they will either agree, disagree, or have to visit to believe it.
So if I’m visiting a completely new place or returning to my favorite local spots, I know my comments on Googles Local Guide are being read by hundreds of people and can have a huge impact on where they end up visiting and how that business owner is leaving their impact to the locals.
