Hello, my friends!
I hope that you are enjoying your Sunday. A couple of days ago I was in Paracas, Ica, which is a touristic place in Peru. Among many interesting things, I was able to learn maybe the story of the “Candelabro of Paracas” (Candlestick of Paracas) is one the best.
The Candelabro de Paracas is a world-known geoglyph, located on the north coast of the Paracas peninsula within the department of Ica, in Peru. Its large dimensions and its design on the sand make it possible to distinguish a relationship with the lines, geoglyphs of Nazca. It is also known as the candlestick of the Andes. It is suspected that it was elaborated at the time when the Paracas pre-Inca culture developed. The Candelabro is 180 meters long and is estimated to be about 2500 years old. The design was engraved in stone with a depth of about 3 meters. Due to these characteristics, it can be seen at a great distance by boats or airplanes. Its meaning remains a mystery, although there are several theories.
I hope you enjoyed a little bit about this local Peruvian story!. I am attaching a photo and the link to an interesting video I found on YouTube.
Best wishes,
Marco… from PERU!
