Editing address

Hi

Does is always take so long to edit an address. I’m waiting since 23.11.23. The first time Ive edit an address it took about 3 days :sleepy: The shop at the location depend on me.

Yes, it can take a long time before addresses get approved (if they get approved).

Please seek help with this in the Maps support forum.

Hit the Community tab at the top and make a post. You need to attach or link to official documentation supporting the change you are proposing. Copyright-free governmental maps are probably the best proof you can attach. Or you will need to add some photos to prove your change.

As editing an address has several meanings, can you kindly explain what is the issue:

  • the address in the Maps is wrong and need to be fixed (wrong street name, wrong street number)?
  • The address in the business is wrong. In this last case, is the business claimed? Of not, you should claim the business first (as you said that it belongs to you) then you will be able to set all the details.

Generally speaking an edit can be pending for days, or even for months, if Google can’t find online the necessary information to confirm the edit. This is quite common, just yesterday Maps approved an edit I made 3 weeks ago

Good day Sir

Thank you for your reply. The edit is a new brand Petshop that has taken SA by storm.

It is on the same location of the petshop that was there before this one(closed because owner died)

Now this new petshop has the correct name and phone number it should have, but the pluscode directs to a total different petshop (same area)

I did my best, I attached photos, views, and even moved the marker on Maps. :smile:

I love this new hobby of mine and I take it very serious.

I love learning and growing and it angers me immensely that I get no glory here.

Ii have done a previous edit (strangely enough for the same petshop company in a different town)

I would love to hear from you. You must have super knowledge to be a moderator.

One thing which is quite important here on the forum: if you want to make sure that another Connect user sees a reply you give, make sure to ‘tag’ them by typing the ‘@’ symbol and then select that user from the list (or start typing the name if there is no list).
