edit road name and directions

hi there.

I have a problem in my city. almost 90% of roads don’t have any names and the name editing is a long term process. how I can get some special permission to change the road names quicker?

thanks.

You can not. A lot changed since the Maps maker days. Also your country is under US sanctions so many features are not available.

Google Maps has a program enabling local and regional partners to upload their data directly and automatically. Please learn more here: Google Maps Content Providers
Examples include municipalities and public transport providers.

But I don’t know if this program is accessible from Iran.

Sounds good, @AMIR_121

Then you just need to start the process to become a Partner on behalf of your municipality. This will also quickly determine if Iran is inside or outside the geo upload partnership program. I suggest you use another email than your private Google Account.

Best of luck

Fixing directions is a whole other ball game, @AMIR_121 .

Let me know if that is also an issue you need to approach. Editing roads correctly will normally make sure the navigation works correctly. However, there is more to it.

Unfortunately, the partnership program is not available in Iran.

Even several years ago when Iran was available to fill the form, our efforts weren’t helpful. These days, even the name of Iran is not presented in the list.

So, the only way is to editing the map and adding its name.

That is unfortunate. Thanks for sharing.

Happy to hear it is available again @AMIR_121

I just tested about 2 months ago and didn’t find Iran in the list.

I hope it works.
