Not only the lotus root is delicious, but also fruits. In China you can find many lotus fields so that you can enjoy eating also the delicious fruit of lotus. Stopped counting how much lotus fruits I have actually eaten.
Hello @user_not_found
,
This is the first time I see an actual photo of this fruit, thanks for sharing your collage. Did you like it and can you describe the taste of lotus fruit? It certainly looks interesting and that is not deniable.
How long did you stay in China? Tell us more about your trip.
Hello @MoniDi
It’s the second day I am in China. I was used to eat lotus root since I tried restaurants in my local Chinwtown, cause I really like lotus root. Today have also tried the fruit. It has a soft taste, similar to the taste of a bean. I found it also a little refreshing. I liked it.

is actually interesting to hear about lotus fruit ,never heard of it before. But in here ( India) people used to eat the seed like thing that’s present inside the lotus and lily lily flower. I have tasted it once and it was little sour in taste.
Along with @MoniDi I’m equally excited to know how the lotus fruit tastes
Lotus has fruit? Wow, I’ve just known it, @user_not_found
.
But how we eat that fruit? We must cook it first, or we just eat it as is, just like other fruits?
Interesting. Never know it before.
Thanks for sharing :))
Thanks @user_not_found
for these photos!
Once I had the opportunity to drink juice of this fruit, very refreshing and with a particular taste! Now it is clearer to me how this fruit look!
Have a great trip in China!!
Bye,
David
@iorikun301 we eat it as is. Do you see all that small “points”? You break one of these, with your teeth you break the peel (exactly for what you do for peas) and then you eat it. Just don’t eat the smallest points, as that means they are not mature yet.
Ahh… so that’s the lotus’ fruit. And we could eat it as is like peas. Interesting. I never know it before, yet.
Thank you for sharing, @user_not_found
