Hello fellow Local Guides from around the world!
I just got back from an incredible trip to Dublin, Ireland, right during the peak of the Autumn season. As always, Google Maps was my essential companion for navigation and finding details in this new city.
If you only have a short time (1-2 days) in central Dublin, these 3 spots are absolutely unmissable. Make sure you check your Maps for the best walking routes between them!
1. Trinity College (History Meets Dark Academia Vibe)
This is Ireland’s oldest university, and the magnificent architecture gives off that perfect Dark Academia aesthetic.
- Maps Insight: Before visiting, I always check Google Maps for the opening hours (especially for The Book of Kells!) and look through photos uploaded by other Local Guides for the best photo inspiration.
2. Grafton Street (The Energy Hub)
This is a vibrant, bustling pedestrian street! Here you can find incredibly talented street musicians (often even pinned on Maps!).
- Maps Insight: I used Maps to find the shortest walking route from Trinity College and to quickly locate the souvenir shop (thanks to fellow Local Guide reviews!) when I needed to buy some mandatory sheep keychain from Ireland!
3. St Stephen’s Green (The Autumn Colors & Healing Spot)
This peaceful park sits right at the top of Grafton Street. In October, it transforms into a spectacular palette of reds and gold.
- Maps Insight: After enjoying the atmosphere, I immediately uploaded some new photos and wrote a quick review on Maps to help other Local Guides looking for the best healing spot downtown.
Seeking Advice from Fellow Local Guides! (Content Feedback)
Besides being a traveler, I’m seriously learning how to make travel video content. I just uploaded a YouTube Short summarizing these 3 spots.
You can watch the 20-second video here: Youtube Short
I would truly appreciate your honest feedback and advice. Do you have any tips on improving my video, or perhaps any specific Maps features you think I should showcase in my next video?
Thank you so much for your support and feedback!
