Dubai- Meena bazaar : Exploring local market in Dubai

Dubai is famous for astonishing its tourists with amazing man-made islands , amusement parks , Burj-Khalifa (the tallest man-made building till date!) , the desert safari and many other places. But if you are a travel lover and someone like me who loves to connect with people with different ethnicity , loves to learn about their culture and food then Dubai-Meena bazaar is the place to go!

It is well connected by road , you can even take the water taxi and go via the Dubai creek. You will get a true Arabic feel there…

You can find many local shops here selling their traditional attire , chirags , authentic spices , jewelry , accessories , Dubai soveniers ,etc at very reasonable prices!

When in Dubai I would suggest anyone to buy things here as things are cheaper than malls and you get to see authentic designs here. Some of the items are hand made by the shopkeeper’s family members so you feel happy that you helped a family rather than buying in the mall!

Also, there are plenty local food shops / restaurants here which serve finger-licking food here… Do try!

Let me know once you visit the place, I am sure you would not agree any lesser!

 Hi @Globe_trotter_Ish thank you for your shared nice photos and provided information  :+1:
Would you please let me to ask a question about “Meena bazaar” ?
In fact recently I have seen a TV series about “Shah Jalal” ( or something like that ) with her wife “Jodha” ,
on that tv series several times Shah Jalal commanded to women inside his castle to start meena bazars.
I dont know do you have any idea about the film or not? if so would you please inform me about following questions?
was that a special tradition on those era? does it have any special meaning to prepare meena bazar?
Thank you in advanced
Navid Ebdaei

Thank you for sharing this, @Globe_trotter_Ish. The photographs look wonderful. Inside Red Fort, Delhi, there is also a place known as Meena Bazaar.
