“Drunk Cherry” is a fruity fruit filling and just a delicious decoration for many desserts. Such an amazing delicacy can be found in many bought cakes, as well as in other confectionery products. In addition, fruits prepared in this way are the main ingredient for making the famous and my favorite Drunk Cherry cake. A cake recipe is a family secret, but a little later, I will tell you about it I only met this delicacy in stores a few times during my life. And only in Europe. If you want to charm your friends and acquaintances with an unusual surprise, especially prepared with your own hands - then here! And do not rush to thank me - expect gratitude from your friends.
Ingredients: Cherry - 1 kg. brown sugar - 1 cup. (200 g.) + 1 glass. (200 g) white sugar. brandy - 1 bottle (0.7 liter). cinnamon - 1 stick. dried cloves - 3 pcs.
First of all, weighed the required amount of ingredients, which later will be needed to make "Drunk cherry"at home.
The next step is boiling the syrup. To do this, pour brandy in a pan and dissolve two types of sugar in it. After that, add cinnamon and cloves to the brandy with sugar. The resulting aromatic liquid with spices must be brought to a boil, after which the finished syrup should be removed from the heat and filtered through a sieve. Then filtered syrup must be filled with prepared cherry berries.
Allow to cool slightly and pour into sterile glass jars.
Try to keep the cherries completely covered in liquid.
Homemade «drunk cherry» will be ready for use in ten days. All this time, the cherry blank should only be stored in the refrigerator.
