Down in southern Israel, you can find the northeast coral reef in the world.
The Eilat reef is one of the magnificent attractions you can find at this lovely city. The reef is accessible for divers or through the Eilat Underwater Observatory.
In the picture you may see a Blue Surgeonfish, which Disney’s character Dory based on, swimming freely near the beautiful corals.
__ such pretty photo! I didn’t even know there are reefs in southern Israel. Do you dive yourself, @Avsha ? This is a nice photo!
I like how you compared the sturgeon fish to a Disney character. Hehehe
Like other endangered reefs in the world, do you know if the local government is doing some actions on preserving these beauties?
Hi @ellecross .
The Eilat reef is indeed spatial.
I’m not a professional diver but the reef is close to the shore so I enjoyed snorkeling at it. What about you?
The reef is preserved by the Israel Nature and Parks Authority, part of is closed for divers in order to preserve it. Nevertheless always there are more acts that can be done.
Dory is a very loved and harmless character so I really like it, what Disney’s character do you like?
Excellent!!!@Avasha, thank you. Keep going.
Best.
