Do you like mango?

I really like mango, but here in Ukraine, where I live, the climate does not allow to plant mango trees.

Of course, I can always buy mango fruit in a supermarket or in the fruit market. But they always sell green mangoes. Because, since ripe mango fruit is not transportable. This often has a bad effect on the taste of the fruit. In fact, that’s true that the most delicious fruit is a fresh fruit.

I had a chance to enjoy fresh ripe mango in China. The ripe fruit tastes very sweet and has a pleasant sweetish aroma. It has a lot of vitamins and sugars and few acids. It is absolutely delicious and refreshing!

My friend @IshantHP_ig told me that the mango is very popular in India and is considered one of the national plants. Indeed, I could find out that India is a leader in mango production ahead of other countries.

We also eat delicious fresh mangoes when we have holiday in Egypt.

Friend know that I love mangoes and recently has brought me mango from Egypt. It really looks green. Seems, I should be patient and wait some time to this mango will become sweet. As I know, mango ripeness can be determined by the smell - sweetish and strong, very pleasant.

Do you plant mango tree in your area?

@JaneBurunina Yes, I love to eat mango a lot. Mangoes are found In Bangladesh in various types. As per your friend @IshantHP_ig , yes India is the largest Mango producing country in the world. But Bangladesh also produces a huge quantity of mangoes every year. We also export mangos like India. Thanks for sharing your love for mango and for this nice post as well.

Thank you @helga19

I think, when you were living in Vietnam you could eat the most fresh and aroma mangoes, because it grows there as well.
What about supermarkets in Moscow, can you buy there mango which could remind you mangoes in Vietnam?

Hello @JaneBurunina

It’s good to see you also love mango! There is no other tasty fruits than ripe mango. There several kinds of mango (species actually), you need to choose right one. I’m inviting you to visit Bangladesh in the next summer because that’s the season of tasty mango. Here (and Indian sub continent) there are lots mango gardens. I believe you would love that also.

Thanks for sharing you thoughts with us @JaneBurunina

Wow! Really, do you have mango gardens in Peru? It’s really amazing @marcorp ! I can’t imagine it, because I thought mango grow in Asia only. I wonder, what months of the year do you have the mango season in Peru?

There are apples, pears, peaches, apricots, plums, cherries, strawberries, blackberries in Ukraine. These all are seasonal fruits there. Apples and pears are storing well during the cold winter season. But other fruits we need to export from warm countries. We can’t plant fruit year-round because we have cold climate conditions here.

Do you have cold winter in Peru?

Compelling, @JaneBurunina ! The area I’m at definitely doesn’t have mango trees, although the supermarket usually has decent ones. Many including myself really like the cooling taste of it, especially in the summer months. My favorite way to enjoy is a simple morning smoothie actually. 1/2 cut-up mango, yogurt, squeeze of lemon and blended with a bunch of ice. It’s just simple and delicious.
