With golden sand and crystalline blue waters, this beach owes its name to its fearsome sea of wild waves, since in it the Gulf of California and the Pacific Ocean meet, one of the few beaches in the world where two seas converge. But it is not only because of its dangerous waters that this place has earned the name of “Divorce Beach”, it could be the result of being next to the “Lover’s Beach” which, on the contrary, is calm and peaceful; or maybe, due to that legend of a Japanese sailor rescued by a beautiful local woman whose love blossomed on the Lover’s Beach, ending up with the sailor’s death at the hands of the father of his beloved. She would eventually succumb to life, after losing her lover, on the Beach of Divorce.
