Diving to the YATUSH Wreck

Diving to the YATUSH Wreck in Eilat Israel is a spectacular experience!

It is not an easy site to get to and it will need you to have some diving skills.
You will need to be able to navigate well underwater and be aware to times as the wreck lays at 32-33 meters and for recreational diving it is very deep.

The YATUSH is a relatively small wreck with many corals around it.
Actually the real name was not the YATUSH but the “Netz” and it was mistaken to be a different ship named YATUSH. The name got famous and today this is the “formal name”.
The wreck is an old Israeli Navy ship “Netz” that served earlier in the US Navy as a patrol boat “PBR MK II” in Vietnam and was sold to the Israeli Navy later.

The boat was submerged at 1986 and is still there since.
It is made out of Fiberglass and didn’t decay with the years and there are not many corals on it so it remains in a relatively good condition.

Come and visit this beautiful place and the beauty of the reefs around it :slightly_smiling_face:

It is normally with much more colors but that is a deep dive so it is more blueish :slightly_smiling_face:

Fantastic photos @JoniG I believe the PBR MK II started the Vietnam War for the U.S. in the Gulf of Tonkan[sp?] What an amazing dive and look forward to learning more from you!
