The Gallery of Star 360 Spheres showcases the best 360 spheres contributed on Maps by Connect Local Guides and when it comes to the “best”, we mean those having the most views which, for convenience, we simply call star 360 spheres.
Rather than cluttering up the gallery post and to keep things neat and tidy, let’s keep the general discussion and questions about these stars and their creators here in this discussion post. In fact, let’s use this as the place to talk about anything to do with 360 spheres generally including the cameras you use and helpful tips on how best to shoot them. This I believe will provide a much better and more enjoyable user experience when viewing each of the star 360 spheres in the gallery, especially on mobile devices.
When commenting on a specific Local Guide’s star 360 sphere in the gallery, please also include the permalink to that star thereby enhancing the reader’s experience. In this regard, should you believe that a comment added on the Gallery needs to be moved here then let me or one of the Connect Moderators know and we will check it out and if need be, move it here.
Actually while that’s me you can see in the camera, I don’t have a 360 sphere capable camera. On a trip to Taiwan last year I tried using my my Pixel smartphone to shoot a 360 sphere of a Budhist Temple Gate and I thought I did a pretty good job but unfortunately, Google didn’t think so!
But you can take 360 Photo Spheres on your pixel @ShreyaMusings because photo sphere feature is in the camera app. For me on Android, once in the app I select Modes > Photo Sphere (screenshot #1) and away you go (screenshot #2) !
Maybe you’re right @WilfriedB but if so, I wish Google would tell bona fide Local Guides why it wasn’t accepted that way, instead of it being a guessing game, we could significantly improve our contributions!
Que tal @LudwigGermany!
Se necesita usar un poco de código (del que no sé absolutamente nada, jaja) pero fue @AdamGT quien me ayudó con eso. Entonces esta imagen te ayudará a ver como se hace.
