Upon entering, you are greeted by the grand entrance gate leading to the Liberation War Memorial complex. Bashtala was a historic sub-sector under Sector 5 during Bangladesh's 1971 Liberation War. The complex features a Shaheed Minar (martyrs' monument) along with the iconic red-and-green circular monument. Standing before these memorial structures set against the backdrop of lush green hills evokes a deep sense of respect and patriotism.

One of the most refreshing spots here is the concrete sluice gate structure where water pours down like a mini waterfall. Sitting at the edge and feeling the cool, rushing water flow past your feet is an incredibly soothing experience.
