Some of the most famous attractions are Sahara, Roman Amphitheatre, Ennejma Ezzahra Palace, Dar Sebastien - International Cultural Center of Hammamet, El Jem Amphitheatre, Hammamet Medina, Carthage Museum, Ichkeul Lake, etc.

Here’s some of photos I took during my road trip through Tunisia.

Wow @Asma-Tn ,

Not only the place is beautiful but your photos make it look even better. Thanks to your post now I have Tunisia on my list for places to visit!

How was your trip? What did you like the most? Any recommendations would be appreciated by me and other Local Guides as well.

I know that @DeniGu was there recently so you could exchange some words about it.

Totally agree with @MoniDi , great photos @Asma-Tn and they showcase Tunisia really well. The structures and colors remind me a little of parts of the Greek Islands.

Oh, thank you!

@MoniDi Actually, I’m from Tunisia. I corrected the post’s title in order not to mislead the Local Guides.

I took a short road trip through Tunisia to take some photos.

I recommend you to visit Sidi Bou Said, Carthage, Dar Sebastien in Hammamet, Medina of Hammamet, Djerba, Ain Drahem, Tabarka, Sahara… I also suggest you to take a look at Flaÿou’s products ; you can find some original souvenirs to bring back from Tunisia. And if you’re interested in food, you can eat at La Fabrique in La Marsa (very tasty burgers) or try fine confectionery at Confiserie Layla.

@AdamGT Indeed, Sidi Bou Said is a blue-and-white village which looks a little like Greece.

Thanks for your suggestions! I will try to remember most of the places that you recommend and I will try even harder to visit them once I plan my trip there.

Hello @Asma-Tn those photos were so lovely, now I am adding Tunisia in my bucket list. It looks so much like Greece island of Santorini. Thank you for sharing with us.

Wow, your photos are fantastic, @Asma-Tn !

What camera or phone do you use? Do you also use a special app to touch up your photos, or you prefer your camera/phone’s build-in functions?

I had a wonderful time in Sidi Bou Said and Hammamet when I visited in June. All that blue of the sea and the charming white-wall houses with blue doors and blinds! It was a magical experience.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t go to the Medina of Hammamet and La Marsa, but those are definitely on my to-visit list for next time!

Thank you for the tag, @MoniDi , @Asma-Tn 's photos definitely made my day brighter.

Thank you so much @DeniGu !

I made the switch from iPhone X to Samsung Galaxy S10+ (and I regret it)… I’m not really good at retouching photos, so I prefer built-in functions.

I’m glad to hear you enjoyed your holiday! What places did you visit and see ?

I know what you mean, @Asma-Tn, I also work mostly with the built-in functions and filters of my phone. You’ve definitely found the perfect set of functions for your photos!

I went on an organised tour so luckily I got to see quite a few places! I loved the capital of Tunis and I especially enjoyed a jeep safari to the Star Wars Canyon and a visit to a Berber house. My personal highlight was riding a camel into the Sahara Desert and touching the sand!

Have you been to the desert?

@DeniGu Yes, I’ve been there before.

I spent two days in Tozeur. I do have blurred memories, but I remeber the fun times I had.

Hi @Asma-Tn !

Sorry for the delayed reply!

When I was there in 2015, I only visited Tunis because it was a day trip. We spent time in Sidi Bou Said and also in the old town Medina area. I ate something like a donut, I don’t remember the name but my friends ordered it for me. You can have a look! And you can tell that Sidi Bou Said is in the background.

Then when I visited in 2014, I stayed in Monastir and visited Sousse and Mahdia as well. I went to the beach in Mahdia and also visited El Jem as well!

Tunisia is amazing and I really enjoyed my time there! Hope I can visit again in the near future!!

@Shirley I’m delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay. It’s a “Bambalouni”!

Sidi Bou Said is my favorite place to be. It’s one of the most beautiful and relaxing places that I’ve visited in Tunisia.

Looking very colorful, street decorated with carpet or shop displayed for sale? @Rawen99

I like the traditional layout of the shop and the way the carpets are put on display. Thanks for sharing the post @Rawen99

Hi @Rawen99 ,

Thank you for sharing these nice looking carpets. By the way, your post will fit perfectly with the theme of this conversation and this is why I decided to merge both publications in a single thread. Feel free to jump into the discussion if you find it interesting.
