Every morning, a new day starts. A blank page, 24 hours you can fill with new experiences and adventures. Yes, I know what you’re thinking… “Cristina, that’s wonderful but… I have obligations…and a job! I just have time for new adventures when I’m on holidays”. Well… you’re right. We all have things to do on our daily basis, but that doesn’t mean we can’t live new experiences and adventures every day. Something that I have learnt since I discovered the Local Guides program is that the city where I live has a lot to give.
I used to complain about my job and how I had to work so many hours a day. I dreamt about my holidays eveyday. Nowadays, although I still dream about my next holidays and where I will travel, I have learnt to enjoy my freetime, the evenings and the weekends and get the most out of my city.
Thanks to other people’s contributions I have visited lots of places that I didn’t know they exist. I have realized how communication, recommendations and knowledge improve the experience of living your city (and trips, of course). I always feel in debt with this Local Guides community and i always want to share my experiences, photos and recommendations too. Everytime I discover a place that I think it should be better known, I try to do my best to make it happen. If i can enjoy it, why not everyone? The more, the better.
Life is short, let’s live it fully.
