Hi! I know that the issue of ‘hidden’ or ‘non-public’ reviews has been discussed many times. I’ve also appealed through a form on this forum and have successfully had them reinstated. But over the last couple of months something else is happening, which I believe is an AI glitch.
I generally only visit places that I believe to be good because of Google reviews. I then post reviews and generally they are 4 or 5 star. My reviews are published, but if the owner then replies positively my review is hidden. I appeal, then they get reinstated, then it happens again with my next review.
This whole process is time-wasting for both Google staff and me. If it’s an AI issue then a fix would benefit everyone!
I just checked your profile and I can see a review published a day ago so that means your reviews are public. From my own experience once your account has been flagged it will continue to do so until there is a permanent fix.
Thank you @waza28 . What you describe has happened to me before but this is different. I posted 3 reviews on Sunday, 4 on Tuesday and 1 on Wednesday - all were public. Then yesterday morning one of Saturday’s was hidden and, by the evening, a second was hidden. Given my experience earlier this month this will probably continue until a few more are hidden. Then I appeal via the online form and they are reinstated. That’s why I believe it’s a new AI glitch.
