Hello Friends.
This post is a part of the Challenge initiated by @NandKK which is Airport Photo Challenge 2025✈️
Here I am going to share about my experience at Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar International Airport in the Cleanest City of India which is Indore.
Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport (IDR). This isn’t just an airport — it’s a reflection of the city’s growth, values, and the legacy of a legendary queen.
- A Grand Welcome by History
Right at the entrance stands the magnificent statue of Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar, one of the most revered rulers in Indian history. Her grace, wisdom, and governance still inspire millions, and her presence here sets the tone for travelers — powerful yet peaceful.
- Sleek Terminal with a Soul
The terminal design is modern, clean, and efficient, but what makes it unique is the cultural touch — from artwork on the walls to locally inspired decor. Every corridor and lounge space is thoughtfully laid out, making navigation easy and pleasant.
- Smooth Travel Experience
Whether you’re a first-time flyer or a frequent traveler, the airport offers a streamlined experience — from check-in to boarding. It’s one of India’s cleanest and most punctual regional airports, connecting Indore to key cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and more.
- A View to Remember
Don’t forget to pause and admire the aircraft movement from the glass-lined corridors. Morning and evening hours especially offer stunning views of flights taking off against the backdrop of open skies.
- Local Pride, Global Standards
As a Local Guide, it fills me with pride to see how our airport combines global-level efficiency with local warmth and identity. It truly reflects Indore’s transformation into a modern yet grounded city.
If you ever fly through Indore, take a moment to appreciate this blend of tradition and modernity — it’s more than a transit point, it’s an experience.
