Hello Folks! Today, I am going to share Mexican Quesadilla in Indian Style. Folks might be getting curious when I said that Indian Version of Quesadilla Right!
Lets talk about History of Quesadilla:
It first came when Spaniards brought dairy products to Mexico in around 1600s. Mexicans combined cheese with tortillas and a delectable combinations from it, including one of my favourite Mexican dish and easy to make and known as Quesadilla.
Quesadilla are simple Indian flat bread that are loaded with veggies and oodles of cheese. and yes, I am talking about Veg Quesadilla. So, don’t get confused between Veg and Non-Veg. The stuffing inside the Quesadilla are vary as per veg recipe and non-veg recipe.
Alright! Let make some Quesadilla
1- Make a flat bread using all purpose flour. ( Don’t cooked it fully)
2- You can add veggies as per your choice, It completely depends upon you. But, yes I really suggest to add sweet potato. You can add chopped onion, capsicum and corn, and chopped green chilly.
3- Add seasoning such as oregano, chili flakes, ginger garlic paste and salt as per your taste.
4- Add grated processed cheese and Cheddar Cheese Dice to stuffing that is made in step-2 and mix it well.
5- Now, Take your flat bread that is half cooked and fill this stuffing inside it properly & sprinkle chaat masala on it & then fold them so that it becomes semi circle.
6- Take a skillet and heat it on gas and apply a butter with brush and put your quesadilla to heat up. Manage your heat of skillet and then make sure to cook each side long enough that they get deeply golden and crispy. Crispness is key of the Desi Indian Style Quesadilla.
Your Quesadilla are ready, serve them warm with tomato ketchup and not with traditional quesadilla sauce. because, as I have mentioned first that today I will share the Desi Indian Style Quesadilla.
