Desert Winter Snow - Palm Springs, California

Snowy mountain peak on the San Jacinto mountain range in Palm Springs, California.

When people think of the Southern California desert, they think about sunshine, swimming pools, palm trees, and a lovely holiday or vacation. We have all of that in abundance! We also have winter snow in the mountains surrounding Palm Springs!

Palm Springs, California sits at the edge of the San Jacinto mountain range, and San Jacinto Peak is 3,202 meters or 10,834 feet above sea level, and the mountains get lots of snow in the winter! Last week the unseasonable temperature was 92°F or 33°C and gorgeous out, and the snow was visible in the mountains all around us. It’s beautiful and surreal at the same time! I appreciate being able to share this photo with all of you. Cheers!
