Recently, I visited Hotel Vijayalakshmi in Kundapura for a fish lunch. Since Kundapura is well-known for its tasty fish cuisines, I decided to try this place randomly — and it turned out to be a great choice!
I ordered the Koduvayi Fish Meals, which included shells sukka, pickle, unlimited boiled rice with a small piece of local fish, and the highlight — Koduvayi Fish Fry.
The taste was excellent and really felt like home food, especially because I grew up in Kundapura. It was a simple, flavorful, and satisfying meal that reminded me of authentic local cooking.
The price was ₹130 for the complete meals, and prices may vary depending on the season and size of the fish. They also offer different varieties of fish meals, each priced according to seasonal availability.
The place is clean, has plenty of seating, and the service was good.
