Delicious (And Cheap) Mutton Curry @ Selegie Road Singapore

Last week, I visited Singapore (again) with my family to accompany our son to the finals of the International Mathematic Contest Singapore 2025, held at ITE College Central.

We stayed at Selegie Road, an area we hadn’t visited before. It’s located between Bugis and Little India.

Luckily, we quickly found a halal Muslim Indian restaurant not far from our hotel. The name is Tasty Hot Prata. They served a variety of halal dishes from India, Thailand, and the West.

That morning, I actually wanted anchovy fried rice for breakfast. Unfortunately, the fried rice menu wouldn’t be available until noon.

So, I ordered rice and mutton curry. It cost 6.50 SGD. It was quite cheap for the generous portion. After I ate it, I found it to be delicious. The curry sauce was thick and had the bold spices typical of Indian cuisine. The mutton was already tender, and the spices had penetrated deeply.

The location is also very easy to reach. Just steps from the Selegie Road bus stop. The restaurant can accommodate about 20 people. It’s open 24 hours. The service is friendly and fast.

For that, I gave it a 5-star rating and positive reviews on Google Maps.

If you’re traveling to Singapore and looking for affordable, delicious, and generous halal food, this could be a great option!

Wah, resto baru ya . Beberapa kali kesana sering makan masakan India halal di area arab street ,tidak jauh dari stasiun mrt bugis. Berjejer hidangan khas India muslim.
