I need help regarding a review I deleted from my Google account more than 24 hours ago. Although it has been removed from my “Your Contributions” page, the review still appears publicly when viewed from another account or in incognito mode — both in the Google Maps app and in browsers. I have already cleared cache, tried on different devices, and even waited more than 24 hours, but the review is still visible to the public.
I also submitted a report through the Local Guides “contribution not appearing” form, but I’m not sure if this falls under that category, since the review was intentionally deleted. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
Sometimes when you delete a review, it may still show up for others for a short time. This can happen because Google’s servers take some time to fully update.
You already did the right steps — clearing cache, trying other devices, and waiting more than 24 hours.
But since the review was deleted, the “contribution not appearing” form may not help much, because it’s meant for missing (not deleted) reviews.
What you can do:
Wait for 1–2 more days — it usually gets removed automatically.
If it’s still showing, contact Google Maps Support directly.
You can also post a follow-up in the Local Guides forum with details or a screenshot.
But the review with username A still visible, although that review have been deleted from my contribution page. That profile is me. I have deleted my review from those business, but after i checked used incognito mode the review still visible. For the maps link Google Maps
Thank you for checking. Regarding the reason — it’s a personal matter, and I prefer not to share the details publicly. Also i don’t communicated with business owner.
As for my Maps profile, I prefer to keep it restricted for privacy reason. I hope you understand
Thank you for the follow-up, and I appreciate the discussion around this.
I understand the concern regarding profile visibility. However, I prefer to keep my profile restricted due to personal privacy reasons, and I hope that can be respected.
If there’s an alternative way to verify or resolve the matter without changing my privacy settings, I’m definitely open to that.
Happy to follow any guidance from @MortenCopenhagen on how best to proceed.
