We all have seen you enjoying to the fullest in pictures and videos which were shared with you. Apart, we would like to know in what other activities you were involved? How, it would help in further improving the Quality of Google Maps. I mean, academic aspects of 3-days summit.
In both days of the #lgsummit our great superstars LG were involved in brainstorming on new functionalities of Maps and other programs, starting from our requests.
Yesterday, in detail, they splitted into teams and each one presented a project.
I think that these qualified proposals will be kept in high consideration by Google
Yes, Every conference and meetup should have a reasonable result for future. Specially when a major company like Google holds it and more specially when attendees are from allover the world
We’re so happy to for being a member of such huge community and this is so good to have such events each year. This is very special opportunity for some local guides to meet other users from other locations and to have close look to Google but surely there should be more things than being together and celebrating. It would be better to be more organized about our tasks for local guides program, so lets discuss about results of this year’s summit.
For start I wanna to know what new features we should expect in next months (the part that isn’t secret now!)?
What about mapping ability? Do you discussed about road editing in SF?
Yes, we all know that 150 LGs were involved in constructive work that all will eventually help in further improving the Quality of Google Maps and more specifically role, responsibilities and engagement of LG all over the world.

We all signed NDA, so even though the summit is over, we are not to share what we discussed. Even when I got back to work, my manager asked me what did we do. I told him I signed a NDA so all I can really talk about is the party, the food, going to the Google store. I’ve signed a lot of NDA for other side things I do, and you never talk about what happened even after the fact…sorry
@ProfArunCM Yeah, I’m not sure what I can disclose either. I heard a lot of Googlers say things like, “well, this feature is coming sooner than you probably think.” But I’m not sure how much I can talk about. I recommend asking Traci or Gus, instead of the 150 Local Guides.
Hi @ProfArunCM If you follow closely, a lot of not confidential moments were captured on the live stream, the new updates on Google earth and its applications, also those survey and feedback sessions. I think we should wait for the #LGSUMMIT17 Recap.
I saw a lot of white boarding during the #lgsummit17, and you can find many interesting things on shared album, but I’m pretty sure there was a session when the Googlers asked to turn off smartphones
@LucioV we were told not to record anything during the presentations. My photos I blocked out even what we wrote on the white board. I think this protects ideas from competitors. That’s usually what other places told me.

Yes, that’s correct and is what i expect
So sorry for not having the opportunity to attend to these sessions!
First of all thanks for the post. I understand there is a lot of curiosity about the summit 2017, and this is a good thing. To have more replies from the summit attendees we should wait a few more days. Myself, I left the summit on Friday and I arrived home yesterday late in the afternoon, some other is traveling now, and someone still having some free time in USA.
Said is right, we signed more than one NDA, and we cannot share the content of the sessions we had.
But there is something that I can reveal:
some of the functions that we have now in maps, are coming from the summit 2016 and from the feedback in Connect. This is an important point, because it means that Google is carefully listening to what we say.
we have discussed of a lot of issues that are coming from the community, being there as ambassadors of our community.
We cannot reveal more, and believe me that this is not easy, as we all are super excited.
Stay tuned to the official channels and here in Connect for the official news.
Have you already seen the new badges? This is already published, so…
Thanks dear @ErmesT , Nice and complete description. Hope you enjoyed a lot of the summit. I’m so hopeful for next year’s summit to have this chance to meet you
