Dear Google Maps Reviews, I love you.

My passion for sharing on Google Maps when I began back in university when I found myself spending most of my weekends in the city (Toronto) visiting friends. Coming from a small community 2 hours north, my knowledge of restaurants, entertainment, things to do, etc. was quite limited - Google Maps was integral in helping me navigate the plethora of choices.

Thanks to the opinions of complete strangers on the internet, I managed to enjoy some of the most delicious foods, fun activities, and unique experiences I would not have known of otherwise.

From there, my passion for reviewing places grew. If people could help me with their honesty and experiences, why couldn’t I give back in the same way? It nows seems second nature to visit a place and review it; experiences good and bad, the people deserve to know!

Flash forward a few years and I actually planned an entire day of donut crawling (donut shop to donut shop) in Washington, DC via reviews found on Google Maps. Let me tell you, daaaaang those were some good donuts!

Beyond this, I now own my own business (also found on Google Maps) and rely on these reviews to build momentum and draw clients to my business. I am so appreciative of this platform and all that it is has allowed me to do, share, and experience.

Google Maps, I love you.
