United Coffee House is more than just a restaurant; it is a cultural landmark in Delhi. From its humble beginnings in 1942 to its status as an iconic dining destination, UCH has maintained its commitment to quality and tradition. The restaurant’s history is as rich as its menu, offering diners a unique experience that combines the best of both worlds—delicious food and a slice of history. Whether you are a history buff or a food lover, a visit to United Coffee House is a must when in Delhi.
United Coffee House (UCH) in Delhi is famous for its “Daryaganj Giant Samosa,” a colossal, deep-fried pastry filled with a flavorful mix of potatoes, onions, and dry fruits like cashews and raisins.
The giant Samosa looks unique @curatorofmemory
Daryaganj never fails to surprise visitors
So much to explore in Delhi - thanks to your fabulous series…
Wow! this is awesome as I have never seen such a giant samosa in any of the food outlets or restaurants so far. I mostly visit Darya Ganj as when I will get time, I will definitely have this samosa @curatorofmemory
@curatorofmemory i have tried this samosa at the UCH Rewind, Cyber Hub. It’s good. There’s another huge samosa at the Embassy Restaurant, CP. it’s filled with peas & potato. Size ought to be similar or bigger. This costs around Rs 80-90 I think. I don’t have photos of it right now. Tried it almost a year back. It’s tasty. They have fast food like momos, patties etc.
@curatorofmemory yes about time you have to stand and eat ..or sit on the benches placed just opposite the outlet on the pathway ..it was raining the time I tried .. samosa in rains with the Rs 10 wala chai sold by hawkers ..wow
