"Creator Conversations" at Mumbai Google Office & Our experience - 1st Feb 23 - TravellerG

Photo #1, Caption: The cover photo - the ‘Creator Conversations’ starting slide.

I am presenting this post on behalf of all those who could join Google’s Mumbai office for the prestigious “Creator Conversations” Meetup, which was held on the 1st Feb 2023.

Photo #2, Caption: The group photo taken after the meetup, in the Cafe - here, all the participants & Googlers are in the frame. (Mr Akhil - the coordinator of the event is on the leftmost).

Also, request the “Creator Conversations” team members to add your memories along with your photo collections, please.

Photo #3, Caption: Another group photo where Smt. Ishwarya Balakrishnan (next to Tejal, in the dark green dress) joined us. (from left: @Smita_Patil , Shruti, Rohan, Tejal, Smt Ishwarya, Ajit Thitte, Sunny, TG, Pratik Tanna & Naresh Ji)

For me, these all started with a call from our @FalguniP which continued through Mr Akhil (event coordinator), then over a Google Meet with a Googler Smt Iswarya Balakrishnan and were finalised before my flight tickets were booked from Bangalore to Mumbai (& back).

Photo #4, Caption: The conference hall where the joint meetup was organised; the food was kept in the back.

Having participated in different meetups & conferences, as a corporate head (now, semi-retired), I admit that this was totally a different experience, altogether.

Photo #5, Caption: Don’t you feel, this is a drawing room of a house?

Photo #6, Caption: For me, this office gives a feel of a restaurant more than a conventional/typical workspace.

I arrived at the reception of the Embassy FIFC building [Here] (by 12:30 noon) where I met our Isha and we proceeded to Google’s office on the 6th floor; here, we met a few more known & unknown LGs; we spent some fruitful time in the lobby of the office while chatting with the LGs.

The Formal Sessions:

As the LGs arrived, the team led by Smt. Ishwarya did the registration & gave us the Google tag, which was used during the session & returned at the end.

Photo #10, Caption: Smt. Ishwarya Balakrishnan is issuing the badges to LGs. (Googler Mr Adams is on the right side).

Photo #11, Caption: Happy @Shrut19 proudly shows her tag issued by Google.

Then we were taken to explore the Google Mumbai Office (two floors). This was another rare occasion which exposed another dimension of Google’s philosophy - “our employees – energetic, passionate people from diverse backgrounds with creative approaches to work, play and live” (from ‘About Google’).

Photo #12, Caption: Have you seen a ‘Home theatre’ in any offices - at least for me, this was a new experience; remember, these instruments are meant for playing - not just show pieces.

Photo #13, Caption: Our dear @NareshDarji Ji exploring the Google Office.

The serious session started (aprox 1:30 pm) with the introduction of more than 15 Googlers from different parts of the globe. This was followed by an enjoyable game which ended with the distribution of some gifts; this was a joint meeting of all the participants.

Photo #14, Caption: Our @RosyKohli & Isha were seriously busy during the game session.

Photo #15, Caption: The food was kept in the back of the conference hall.

By sharp 3 pm, we were grouped into different teams & the Googlers attended to us directly; this was a unique session where the Googlers made us talk (of course, they were excellent listeners, taking down notes on all the significant points we presented).

Photo #16, Caption: The LG team members & two Googlers were together during the above session. ( @AnshukMitra )

Just after 4 pm plus, we all gathered in the main lobby; then the fun session started with a high tea in the cafeteria. During this session, all were interacting with the LGs & Googlers - this was another memorable event.

Photo #18, Caption: The Cafeteria where we had our high tea & interactions.

And, a bag with gifts was given to the participants; most of us were there till 6 pm.

Photo #19, Caption: The gifts with the carry bag with Google name.

On behalf of all the participants, I thank Google for this awesome opportunity; I especially thank the LG team members and the Googlers who were present at the event. I sincerely express my gratitude to Smt Ishwarya Balakrishnan & Mr Akhil for their professional coordination.

Thanks to all once again, including my dear readers - your feedback is very important to all of us.

PS: Though most of the photos are mine, there are photos captured by other LGs & Googlers.

This activity seems to be very useful for LGs. Dear moderator, can such activity happen at Google Pune unit at Hinjewadi? If yes, I am interested in joining it. Please inform. And let us arrange one Pune LGs Meet somewhere in Pune. Maybe at Shaniwarwada, PL Deshpande Garden or at some better place. What say?

Hello, dear LG friend & poet, @VARUPOET ,

Kindly contact me in my WhatsApp so that I can explain what I know about this event and how it was organised.

Because without TAGGING A GOOGLE MODERATOR, no one will read our responses - hope you got my point.

Of course, it is a very useful and moralising experience to attend such prestigious events.

Thanks for your valuable feedback; happy that you enjoyed the post.

In fact we also requested for more of such events at different locations (internationally), dear & respected @KashifMisidia … Requests were poured in, both in formal meet and informal chats.

In fact, the Google Core team has noted down almost all the points discussed - the Googlers who attended our team were extremely keen on nothing down all our inputs.

We were 6 LGs and two Googlers (3 to 4 pm, sharp) in one group - they were really serious - the interactions were really amazing.

Thanks for your valuable companionship…

In fact, we have given the request on behalf of all the LGs - to explore the possibility of conducting such meetups regionally.

I’m sure that the team will look into it.

Best wishes, dear Rubery.
