Cradle of Nature

Dear Local Guides

This post is part of #Celebrating 20 Years of Local Guides mapping the world together
It is regarding my recent visit to Shees Patk amongst the beautiful mountains of Sharjah. We should thank and love Nature for all it offers to us. We are very lucky to get pampered by nature.

There is beautiful Mosque located amidst mountains and a beautiful park. This is an enthralling experience amidst mountains. Nature at its best

The Mosque is shone like a jewel during the golden hour. Spectacular view.

The adjoining park is a beautiful place for relaxing. A water falls with rock bridges are very scenic. Well illuminated beautiful picnic place. Not a very big place but decently sized park.

We can climb up to the hilltop and for that we have to climb the rocky steps. These steps are wide and are easy to climb. There is hand support.

The view from there top is amazing. There are benches on the top for relaxing. Well maintained place.

The above is the picture of benches on the hilltop

We went on a full moon day. The place looks stunning. Rocky paths and steps are shining in the moonlight

There’s a restaurant. Seating benches are throughout the park. Kids love this place because of the big and beautiful playground. Places for having Barbecue is also available. The play ground is very beautifully created.

Drinking water is available. Parking Lot available. Separate :restroom: toilets for men and women are available inside the Mosque. Wheelchairs :wheelchair_symbol: are available for those who need them.

Thanks for your feedback. That place had many people in the playground, picnic and BBQ place. Yes going uphill only a few takers were there. Also I try maximum to avoid people while talking photos. Comparatively less during Ramadan time. Otherwise this place attracts more people.

I felt so and hence the title

That place was very very peaceful during the twilight the place looked very soulful. Added beauty is the moonlight. We spent around 2 hours there.

Yes, Moon light has done the magic…on a darker day, the place would not have been this live.
2 hours is a good lot of time…
Best wishes :folded_hands:

Interesting visit @Gurukrishnapriya. Those stone stairs (4th pic) look so perfect… as if crafted by an artist  TBH, if a shadow weren’t in the picture, I might have thought it was entirely AI-generated
What truly stood out to me, was the availability of wheelchairs :100: It’s such a thoughtful and impactful feature, and it’s something other places should definitely take inspiration from to ensure inclusivity.

Alle Aufnahmen sind wunderschön, zusammen mit dem informativen Beitrag gefällt es mir sehr @Gurukrishnapriya
Schön wie dort alles erleuchtet ist, ob durch Laternen oder auch den Mond :full_moon_face:

True, moonlight has done the magic especially when we are climbing up the hill it was dark since our own shadow doesn’t show the path. We had to us phone torch. While climbing down ouw shadow is to our back and and our path is very bright. That’s the observation of a talented photographer like you @TravellerG Sir.

Thanks for your compliments @SwetaDhondoo . As you said my shadow helped to know, it is not AI generated. I should say the phone camera has perfectly captured the place. I am not a great photographer, but I learnt some skills from @TravellerG Sir and senior Local Guides like @PaulPavlinovich , @jaisoncbe etc. I am really happy you liked the pictures and the post.
