Coursa all'anello

During my stay in Osilo Sassari, Sardinia, I had the opportunity to witness a captivating horse race known as “coursa all’anello.” This age-old tradition features riders adorned in traditional attire, proudly clutching a wooden stick in their nimble hands. The mesmerizing goal of this race is to propel the stick into a pierced disc with remarkable dexterity, all while reaching dizzying speeds. The atmosphere was electric, steeped in Sardinia’s cultural heritage, where each exhilarating gallop evoked the region’s glorious past. The captured images from this gripping event wonderfully reflect the very essence of this enchanting equestrian tradition, seamlessly uniting the past and present in a truly captivating manner.
