Here are my notes on the 2 names that are 99% wrong, but their severity is different. I’d like to start with the most obvious and dangerous one. If you search for the village of Bicko Selo, what you’ll get are two locations bearing the same name. Upon clicking both of the locations one immediately realizes they both refer to a single village (I’ve been there, and the Wikipedia summary shown on Google Maps corroborates my point.) The danger? Any non-local would have a 50% chance of getting misinformed, which in theory could lead to a world of troubles.
The second case is more of a benign one, but still an eyesore if you ask any locals. The area, named Jelas Polje also contains a big fishpond named Jelas Ribnjaci, mistakenly named Jelaš Ribnjaci (NB š isn’t s). My attempts to correct it have been fruitless for at least a year.
Did you find any other similar situations? If yes, did you have more success than I had? Let me know!
