Constitution Club of India

Constitution Club of India is a club started for members of Constituent Assembly of India. In present days the Constitution Club acts as a platform for interaction amongst the past and present Members of Parliament. The club is registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860.

We visited one late evening to this beautifully lit up building in tricolours. Have attended a BJP hosted event with Hi-Tea here as well.

It is located on sansad marg, new Delhi. They have ground floor with a restaurant, cafe and icecreams. First floor has lounge for MPs. There’s a club for meetings and functions. There is a parking, green lawns & fountains.

It’s a beautiful, tidy & nice venue for gatherings, conferences, and meetings with auditorium and meeting halls. The fountains and green lawns add to the charm of the place.

Toilets are not clean.

Silk expo the time we visited and some or the other expo keeps happening.

restaurant Article 21

It’s a nice restaurant inside of the Constitution Club of India. They have a separate section for outside visitors and a section marked for their in-house guests / ministers.
We tried their soya chaap masala. Soya chaap was quite tender. Served with mint chutney. 5 pieces in a platter. Then we tried the honey chilli potato. Flavour was balanced. Not too sweet. Nicely fried. Creamy broccoli was nice. Their starters are light on tummy.
We had a latte and cappuccino too, which was ok. Coffees are average. The mocktail article 21 special was nice.
Their menu is quite extensive and nice. Many of the menu options were not available because couple of their chefs were on leave like no South Indian, no hit bits. Hit bits are available from 5pm to 7pm. Dinner or North Indian starts from 7pm. They serve beer & hard drinks too. Rates are reasonable.

Photography was tough inside the restaurant because of dim lights.

Cine Tree Cafe

The best part of this cafe is that it’s open until early morning 5 AM. It’s an open cafe. So might be hot and humid at times. Food is nice and so are the coffees. Prices are ok.

A glimpse of the Silk Expo

Lot of local businesses from across India were here to showcase their products like silk sarees, dupattas, kurtas etc. Products like hand made soaps, itr etc

It was a lovely experience!

@TravellerG thank you for your kind words and appreciation

one can only access the public places like lawns, cafés and eateries, seminars, events or exhibitions..if one has a strong reference then can arrange a room stay though you can book meeting halls or Auditorium against a fee else it’s a private club and stay for the MPs
