Hello Local Guides,
You’ll be delighted to know that last Friday morning was truly special and colorful for me! I had the pleasure of attending the ConnectLIVE Singapore 2026 — Experience Sharing Meetup, a wonderful gathering of Local Guides held at a prime location in Dhaka City.
Together, we gathered in Banani, Dhaka, at a restaurant. To begin, I want to express my appreciation for the fantastic venue. The restaurant’s ambiance, the food’s taste and quality, and the staff were truly incredible. Our meet-up took place at Aventra Fusion Lounge.
Anyway, the meet-up started with an introductory session. We shared our local guide levels, the locations from which we contribute to Google Maps, and a brief introduction about ourselves. Mr. @shahinurime skillfully moderated the session. Like all local guides, I was excited to hear wonderful experiences from Mr. @ShafiulB and Mr. @KhokonSharker.
Before that, I got a call to share my local guiding experiences. As a ConnectLIVE 2025 Tokyo attendee, I shared my experiences and emotions. I requested and emphasized to all Local Guides the importance of quality contributions and discussed the Ask Maps feature and its key points. I also encouraged them to be active in the Connect forum and Google Maps.
Thereafter, Md. Khokon Sharker and Md. Shafiul Bashar shared their amazing ConnectLIVE Singapore 2026 experiences one by one. As they shared their experiences, their happiness and enthusiasm were truly inspiring.
It seemed they had added so many memories during this mega event in Singapore. We were thankful to them, as they didn’t forget to bring gifts and special local guide badges for us.
Finally, we enjoyed this meet-up a lot. After completing our Friday prayer (Jummah Prayer) at a nearby mosque, we had lunch together. We exchanged greetings, captured pictures and videos, and concluded the meet-up.
