What happens when you search for the term “Connect Moderators” or just the word “Connect”?
When you search for Connect Moderators you get the search tag connect_moderators, which brings up 4-5 groups that are read-only. These groups are responsible for moderating content on Connect.
The most popular is the 40 Moderator Group, where you can tap to view details such as their activity status, last seen, detailed activity history, names, and other information.
Lets surprise one of the active mod @MortenCopenhagen
He last posted on 8th Dec and was seen 12 hrs ago.
You can also access their Googler group and see its 5 members.
In addition, there are other groups for meet-up approvals and flagged content moderation, where you can only view the names of the members.
I discussed this topic during my meet-up on 30th November 2024 about exploring the new Connect. While it was one of the topics I covered, I’m sharing it again because some might find it new, while others may already be familiar with it.
The new Connect platform is highly dynamic and continues to improve every day. I notice updates and changes almost weekly. You might have already seen the new Trending Topics section.
This connect moderator features lets us know that system is more transparent and convenient specially if you are seeking help from specific mod.
One of the best features I’ve noticed is how edits are reflected in real-time. When you edit the draft and save something, the changes immediately appear on others’ screens without requiring a page refresh. You can test this by editing a text on your mobile device while viewing the same content on a desktop—it updates in real-time. Feature is so nifty that while you edit the text in one device and window if it’s open elsewhere on desktop it will let you know via a pop up in mobile or through a edit conflict tab in desktop that watch out for text loss and within seconds the text is synced in other device as well.
Do you have anything new to share ?
