The place, which was once an inhabited farm, is divided into two areas, the rustic with the agricultural premises, and the villa, where the lord of the manor lived. The ruins of the bathing house are a few meters away. The set of mosaics shows seasons, female figures, and vegetal and geometric compositions. They have African and Oriental influences - something unique for this period.

[!]Conímbriga is one of the largest Roman settlements excavated in Portugal.

Conímbriga is a walled urban settlement, encircled by a curtain of stone structures. The urban settlement consists of various structures, including a forum, basilica and commercial shops, thermal spas, aqueducts, insulae, homes of various heights, and Domus, in addition to a paleo-Christian basilica.

A visitors’ center was constructed to display objects found by archaeologists during their excavations, including coins, surgical tools, utensils, and ceramics.
