To me, and I’m sure many others, music is one of the most important parts of my life. I make it a point to listen to music every single day, it can help me focus while studying, help me get out of a bad place, or just help set a vibe for when I’m spending time with friends. The only thing better than listening to music at home is seeing live music. Concerts are one of the best experiences you can have in your life, from feeling the bass in your chest, to jumping with hundreds of other strangers, to singing your heart out. There really is nothing quite like live music. Everyone deserves to enjoy live music, regardless of physical capabilities. Something I try to do and I am actively starting to do more is pay close attention to the handicap accessibility options, looking for ramps, or specified areas. I then like to see if any questions are being asked about accessibility at the venue and I answer them whenever I can! It is important to me that everyone can experience the pure joy that is live music. And if answering a simple “yes/no/maybe” question helps someone determine they can go see their favorite band live, then my day will be made.
