I went to Con Dao (Vung Tau Province, southern Vietnam) in last year by air plane from Ho Chi Minh City. It took about one hour. However, now you can travel by boat from Vung Tau City, and take about 4-5 hours.
The beach of Con Dao from above is very beautiful, few or no one, and look very clean (of course, this beach is close to airport, and may be restricted for tourist).
From the Airport, we went to hotel by taxi, below beach is very close to Con Dao Town. This place is good for walking but not good for swimming since the ground sometimes is dirty. But, opposite with this area, past to a mountain, there are two beachs very beaufiul.
At the early morning, from the Con Dao town, you can go to the beach, and could find a local market, where you can buy many fishes. I liked go to this local market. I had bough a big fish and brough to the hotel. I asked assitant of hotel prepared for me a breakfast.
The forest of Con Dao contains almost of dwarf trees since the windy. There are many beautiful plant here. You can easy see Cycad condaoensis - a endermic species - on beside road.
Or you can easy find a yellow flowers name Ochna integerrima on a small hill - which is tradition flower on TET of the South of Vietnam
The sea and sky are very clean and sometimes very sunny.
One of beautiful in Con Dao is Sunset. You can see an island through cloud, relex light from sea surface, and some fishing boats going or coming are very hurry
You can rent a motobike from the town, go to below place, stop to see sunset and selfie like me ?
