compass orientation

Ok, so I have read some posts that have stated that ‘N’ is the forward lense direction when PS was taken…is that right? Or do I orient the picture to magnetic north and set the compass accordingly?

Hi @RunAmokPete can you please give me some context for your question so I can help you?

Generally N on a Map means “North” and is usually magnetic North rather than “true North”.

That helps, I was just in a confusion state for a moment as i read somewhere when aligning my pic in a tour that ‘N’ was the forward lens of camera. Correctly aligned, north is north, is north. nothing to do with which way camera was face when pic was taken and makes no difference as you alight pic north. Thank you
