ESPECIALLY THE COFFEE LOVERS IN THE WORLD

Many of us like the flavor of Coffee. Be it at home, work place, a week end outing, party, movie etc. etc. coffee is a very refreshing delicious drink.

With or without milk coffee is a great drink. The smell of this brewed drInk relaxes from stress and monotony by offering a break in our continuous work.

COFFEE, CAPPUCCINO, LATTE, ESPRESSO are a few varieties we get throughout the world. In Tamil Nadu it is KAAPI

Here in South India the COFFEE plays an important role in marriages also.

A rich creamy coffee made out of freshly pounded coffee seeds is offered in a brass “DABARA SET” (as in the picture) as a mark of dignity. The more tastier the coffee, the more respect you gain.

The above is a model of typical roadside coffee/Tea shop of Chennai. (Display at Hotel Crowne, Plaza. Chennai). Newspapers, bun, biscuits and other snacks are sold in a coffee shop.

You can see a brass boiler for boiling water and biscuits and snacks in glass bottles and some news papers and some buns (brother of bread).

The Coffee Shop is a good place to hang out with friends. The world news and the local news are discussed here.

Coffee is my favorite drink. The very flavor pulls me like a magnet. I love its taste. After a cup of coffee, my working speed doubles. I feel fully refreshed and relaxed.

But personally I’m not a great lover of coffee, tea or milk . But rather I would love to drink badam milk ( பாதாம் பால் ) . This always stays top on my list of favourite drinks .

Yes. Badam Milk or Almond Milk is also loved by many people. In fact i too like it. Bit on the top it is coffee.

Good to leanr so more about your culture. It is always interesting.

I like coffee but I am not a specialist. I have one big bowl in the morning and sometime an expresso after lunch especially when I go to the restaurant​:heart_eyes:. I like the expresso in the Italian way (short and strong). @ErmesT , @user_not_found how would you define Italian expresso?

Otherwise, I think you are improving with your posts. I find this one easier to read and better structured than the previous one. Don’t hesitate to read again @AdrianLunsong 's posts as there are full of advices.

Have you ever thought about what Coffee is…

Think about it, its made by a plant, but now think about "why " the plant has made it so… It has evolved to stop insects from eating the beans…

So Coffee is actually an Insecticide.

@Julien44 Italian espresso is the simplest coffee drink you can imagine. It is obtained from hot water and plain coffee. Through an automatic machine (like that of bars or a domestic one) or through a mocha pot, coffee is filtered and all th substances are extracted so that your “hot water” is not water anymore, but it is your espresso! Consider espresso as the purest way to taste coffee.

In order to better appreciate an espresso it is a good idea to drink a small glass of water before drinking it (so that you clean your mouth and are ready to better taste it), if you want, add another glass of water after drinking the coffee or directly brush teeth (espresso, being very concentrated, can easily color teeth over time, so it is a good idea if you want to always keep perfect white teeth).

A final thing: coffee is full of volatile aroma. In order to really appreciate everything of an espresso (talking about real experts of coffee, those who are used to taste every single aroma of a cup), it has to be minced at the moment (like it happens in Italian bars) or prepared with a pod and a domestic machine (as coffee powder in pods is preserved, being the pod completely closed) and then you have to drink it in less than to two minutes, as volatile aroma is rapidly dispersed when in the cup.

For those people who can’t stand the plain flavor of espresso, also sugar can be added.

That was an interesting post @Gurukrishnapriya as always.

My favorite drink is of course Filter Coffee. We buy Degree coffee powder from a popular shop in Kumbakonam and prepare it with fresh milk. If you ask me the reason, the answer will be, because of it’s taste, the mojo and the kick which is being provided by this drink which was introduced by my parents from the child hood.
