Closer Look into Stores

I am very passionate about taking photographs in stores and upload them to google. The reward system gives me an actual reward where I feel good about myself by giving the community something back. Also, it combines my hobbies which are photography, reporting, and exploring.

I usually go to stores and use Google maps to do so. If I don’t know where the store is I will search it on Google maps. If I found the store I would hit directions. Sometimes, I need to know what does the store sell, or how does it look from the inside. At that point I hit pictures or more pictures. I started to notice a pattern in which people generally take a picture of the store from the outside, and pictures of the aisles. How many stores have aisles? all of them. I gave it a thought and started to take pictures of items and their price tag. For example, if I wanted to know if that store has charcoal thin pencils. When I look via the store’s Google images and someone who already been there and took a picture of that item. Most likely I would see that picture and go to that store with confidence. There are a couple of other ways to find an item which are going to the store, going to the store’s website, or call them. Those methods usually work for general items, but they don’t know what exactly you are looking for. There is this one time where I was in an arts store and took four hundred photographs.

To conclude, I have shared about twelve hundred pictures on Google maps. My top Google picture got around 600k views and the total of my pictures’ views is two millions.

Besides art stores, what are your favorite business types to take individual photos with pricing?

The art store was an example. I go to various types of stores such as restaurant, bookstores , and clothes stores.

That’s amazing! And such a good idea - very helpful!
