Clicking photos through pixel is not mandatory?

Hi Team,

I’m just wondering will the photos clicked using other phones are not shared by localguide team in insta or it should be clicked through google pixel? Because, as per my observation I see people with lesser level photos has been posted in insta through localguide team has it is clicked in pixel. Please let us know.

Your query is confusing @Mahe001
As per my understanding, there is no restriction whatsoever on posting of photos clicked through any make of a phone or camera.
However, the photos must follow the posting guidelines & should represent original content, i.e. not copied or borrowed from somewhere else.

Hi,

Sorry about that. Google guide team in insta shares only localguides photos who has clicked using pixel and not other phones. There are several people across globe using different phones to capture the photos. So does localguide team in insta will select the better or best pictures to post in insta which is clicked using pixel is my querie. If yes, why? And why not which the pictures clicked using IPhone/Samsung/oneplus?

Hello @Mahe001 ,

Welcome to Connect.

I would like to inform you that it’s not mandatory to have a photo taken by a Google Pixel device as you mentioned. The photos published on the official social media are chosen because follow a few criteria and the device which the photo was taken definitely is not one of them. Mostly of the photos are not even taken by a mobile phone.

I also wanted to let you know I’ve moved your post to the topic section How-tos where it fist better. This section is used by Local Guides for asking questions or report issues.

Hi Felipe,

Thanks for the insight. If there is a criteria, do we have any link to refer so that it will be clear. Besides, if photos clicked apart from using pixel is not considered can we know why? If not mobile, you mean may be shot using DSLR camera? If then I agree. However, few of the post where clicked using pixel, so that’s my point.

Hello @Mahe001 ,

Unfortunately I don’t have a link to provide you, however when you access the @googlelocalguides you will see that you need to use the tag #letsguide, plus you will find photo tips that you can use. I just informed you that the photos chosen to be posted don’t need to be taken by Google Pixel (of course that there are a few) but a also I saw a lot of photos there that were taken by different devices.

In addition, I also wanted to let you know that you can tag Connect members in your posts by writing @ before their name. This way they receive a notification and know that you are trying to communicate with them directly.

Over the years I have had many Siberian Huskies.
This is a mixed breed dog Husky adopted by my nephew.
He has established that for the puppy to live at his grandmother’s place where he comes to visit four times a week, he still has two adult dogs.
I also really like the puppy
Thanks
A good day

It’s very cool @To_paul thanks for sharing it with us. I haven’t had this breed yet but when I get a dog, for sure it will be a husky.

Hi @FelipePK Thanks for the remark. This type of dog needs a huge space, a lot of affection and understanding from us. This type of dog always finds something to do. I always accepted their behavior, I even adopted mature huskies who had behavioral problems. In fact, the dogs had nothing
