Over the years, Montreal, the second biggest city in Canada, has created an amazing street art culture. You can easily spot graffiti on a random wall or at a random corner. Don’t forget that they have the MURAL, one of the biggest street art festivals in the world. (You can find more about it in MURAL Festival, the Best Street Art Festival in Canada.)
Undoubtedly, Montreal is a city full of creativity and street art vibes, and there are hundreds of great graffiti (definition of “great” here: which I love and can’t help taking pictures of) distributed over the whole city. However, it doesn’t seem like a good idea to share all my Montreal graffiti photo collection in one post, or it would be deluged by nearly a thousand of pictures, which may be a disaster for those not using free Wi-Fi but paid Internet.
Today’s Graffiti
In this post, the graffiti I’d like to share with you is the four seasons of Montreal. This artwork is consist of four murals, the spring, the summer, the autumn, and the winter. The time I first passed by this place and saw the spring one (which I didn’t know then), I didn’t realize that it’s a season series and thought it’s just a beautiful mural of the sky, grass, and cherry blossom trees. The second time I passed by, I noticed the other two, autumn and winter. I thought, “Oh wow, these murals really have Canadian maple autumn and snow winter vibes.” The third time I passed by, “Wait! Here we got spring, autumn, and winter, but why is summer gone?” “Is that a Canadian joke implying that Quebec doesn’t have one?” Hahahaha, just kidding. Finally, I found out that it’s actually a season series. And now, all four seasons are collected and the series in my photo gallery is completed. √
