City Day Trip: Out & About Lagos Mainland

If you live or travel to Lagos regularly, you would know by now that the lifestyle, events and businesses found on Lagos mainland is quite different from the islands. There are better roads, high-end restaurants, beaches and major tourist attractions in Lagos Island, Victoria Island and other adjoining districts. Mainlanders may have things different, but I know for a fact that there are great places and businesses to explore! Here are a few of my best spots to visit on the Mainland:

Ouida Bookstore

Though Ouida’s bookstore doesn’t have a wheelchair accessible entrance, their books, open mic and book reading events pull crowds and attract both young and old people.

Ndubuisi Kanu Park

Three words to describe the park:

Perfect for families!

This park has a wheel hair accessible entrance and restrooms. There’s plenty room for multiple family picnics and there’s a massive playground and basketball court for anyone who loves to play games.

Ocean Basket

whether you’re dining alone or with the family before calling it a day, Ocean Basket has suitable sea food dishes to fill up you up. With its cool ambience space in Ikeja GRA and second outlet at Ikeja City Mall, both outlets are wheelchair accessible and are surrounded by grocery stores for you to do any last minute grocery run before calling it a night.
