As some of you know Peru is characterized by its cultural heritage and also by the fact that the population is very religious. It is no surprise because we inherited that from the Spaniards. For that reason, it is common to find numerous churches all over the city. One of the prettiest in Lima, Lima, is the church La Virgen Milagrosa. This temple was built in 1930 by a Polish architect named Malachowsky, who left a legacy of several monuments in different districts of the city.
The interior decoration of this church is really beautiful, colorful by the multiple stained glass windows that narrate the life of Jesus through time. These stained glass windows are located on both sides or wings of the church. In the background, you can see the figure of the Virgen Milagrosa. The church is named after her.
@marcorp Awesome pictures, my friend. I was raised in a Catholic family, and besides, nowadays, I do not consider myself a religious person anymore; I love to visit churches wherever I am. It talks a lot about our history. Like in Peru, due to colonization (Portuguese in our case), there are a lot of magnificent churches here.
@AlexandreCampbell agree my friend, faith has changed a lot in recent years… however, both countries have a cultural background strongly attached to religious views.
