@FalguniP I know you will like the delicious treats I am sure you know how to make them. I am not a baker neither a cook my neighbor has a tradition to send me many kinds home made cookies and sweets every year, bless her heart!. I will be good with sweets for couple months.

Glad to hear that your bestie got you some sweets. I also have a very thoughtful neighbor who always make extra sweets so she can deliver some to us every year. She made all kinds of fudge. There are chocolate fudge, peanut butter fudge, cherry fudge, and caramel fudge.

@Nyainurjanah now you make me hungry, Nyai. I love tofu and tempe they are very expensive here and the taste as not as good the one from Indo. I have tried making tofu when I was in lock down and it tastes so fresh but no luck with making tempe yet.

@indahnuria yes please add sambel terasi in noodles that’s what exactly I do mb Indah. No matter where you live sambal is a necessity.
I have never been to NYC during Christmas or new year but from what I see on TV it looks very stunning.
When you go back to NYC, I would love to meet you there mbak Indah!

Muy tentadores @Erna_LaBeau se ven ésos fideos! Pero lo mejor es la tradición que ustedes tienen, el esperar que en ésta fecha especial prepares para tu familia tú plato navideño. No sabía que usaban tanta papa, preparada de diferentes formas en la celebración de Navidad.
Yo siempre espero comer en las fiestas un plato que prepara mí hermana que se llama “Vitel Toné” . Es una carne, que puede ser vacuna u de cerdo que se cocina y luego se corta en fetas muy delgadas y se baña con una salsa deliciosa hecha con mayonesa, atún, vino blanco y más cosas que no sé porque nunca lo preparé jaja

@SilvyC your Vitel Tone sounds yummy.
You know the only time I eat my noodles is when we have family gathering so I personally look forward to have it a bowl or two. I thought it is very sweet that we are craving our family’s special dish. Pumpkin roll with cream cheese is one of the sweet that I hope my brother in law will make it in every family event, not always though

Yes indeed, Jay @jayasimha78 diet does not work between Christmas and the new year. It is hard to resist the temptation of yummy food and all the sweets.
