Choose your Place to answer Questions on Google Maps 💬 ⭐

Hy Local Guides, :speech_balloon:

Google Maps is evolving! Alongside the Fresh Look for Local Guides (love that new Level 4+ star :star:), we have spotted a new feature that makes contributing much more interesting on Google Maps.

Choose Your Place to Answer :magnifying_glass_tilted_left:

Instead of answering random questions, the Contribute tab now lets us choose the specific place we want to answer.

As seen in above screenshots, you can now:

  • See a list of recently visited places :pushpin:.
  • See exactly how many questions :red_question_mark: are pending for each spot.
  • Focus :eyes: your contributions where you think is the best.
  • You can skip to the new places.
  • You get 1 point per answer, making it a great way to level up your contributions while focusing on places you remember best.

This is a huge win for accuracy, especially for documenting accessibility :wheelchair_symbol:, sustainability :recycling_symbol: & inclusivity :star:.

Oh that’s an amazing feature update on Maps @Rahul001 Instead of random places, we can choose from the locations we have recently visited and then answer the questions. It’s not yet rolled out of my Android device yet, but I’m definitely looking forward to using this new feature. Thanks for sharing

I request you to update the App. I think this feature mostly rolled out before the new visual feature for local guides.

There’s a doubt actually, does the places shown also have places your searched with places visited along with it?

@Rahul001 , It seems very interesting and helpful. It hasn’t rolled out to my iPhone yet; I hope it will be available soon. Thanks for sharing the update.

Nice feature, @Rahul001, let us know which Google Maps version is currently on your phone.
