Chitale is the family name and Bandhu means the Chitale brothers who originally invented, perfected, and popularized Bakarwadi which is now famous all over India.

When working in Bangalore, 700 km away from Pune, I would always return to work with extra luggage full of Chitale Bakarwadi since everyone in the office wanted me to hand-pick it from their outlet in Pune.

An outlet is only a few hundred meters away from my home in Pune and avoiding the temptation of buying the tastiest Bakarwadi is a daily struggle The taste is irresistible and I have been enjoying the Bakarwadi for the past 30+ years.
