chinakkathoor pooram is very famous all over India .it is celebrated once in a year .this festival has a duration of one day .but it’s on its main day it have the max crowd .the above picture is of a famous game called kuthirakkali which take place during the day of festival.On this game models of horses made by dried banana leaf is thrown upwards .one will see a variety of programs people and culture during the visit to pooram

@TusharSuradkar It took a long ago ,this deity is called chinakkathoor amma a form of badhrakali ,she ran away from Rama who very angry ,in the place thiruvilwamala ,the she came to Palappuram ,king of that time saw sad bhadrakali,inorder to make her happy they started celebrating chinakkathoor pooram,at the end of the pooram day,she was not completely satisfied by enjoying,so king decided they would celebrate pooram in next day morning also.after every year pooram celebrated on 1 and 1/2 days at once in yea
