When scrolling through your social media timelines, it is hard not to notice all of your friends posting about their trip to Europe, Thailand, Mexico, Jamaica, etc… Although these are all beautiful destinations, if you are like me and enjoy living life a little outside of the box, then plan your next vacation to Chile.
Looking for beautiful beaches to relax on?
How about learning about Chile’s famous poet, Pablo Neruda?
Local street art?
Or maybe a pool on top of a mountain in downtown?
Maybe you’re like me and want a little bit of an adrenaline rush… what about sandboarding in the world’s driest desert?
These are just a few examples of the hundreds thousands of things to do in the world’s longest country. Whether you are someone who loves adventure and stepping outside of your comfort zone, or you are someone who enjoys museums and staying in the city, Chile has everything for all interests. I cannot emphasize enough about the beautiful country, things to do and views but one thing that you will realize is how amazing the people are.
- Lost on the subway? Yeah, I’ve done that plenty. Ask almost any Chilean (you may not even have to since they will see your lost face and offer their assistance) and they are more than willing to help.
- Short on money for getting to and from places? Hitchhiking is almost a right-of-way for tourists.
- Homesick? Any Chilean would love to have you as a dinner guest.
Once you go to Chile for the first time, you will wonder what took you so long to get there in the first place. You will want to keep going back for more each time you arrive. You will want to go to the North to see the desert, the East to be in the mountains, the West to be on the beaches and the South to be in Patagonia.
I could go on about Chile for hours, but none of it means anything unless you experience this for yourself. So buy the ticket, practice your Spanish and have the experience of a lifetime that I know you will have.
