One of my favorite places in Chicago is the Magnificent Mile, which is known as one of the world’s great avenues and Chicago’s version of the Fifth Avenue. Located on Michigan Avenue from the Michigan Avenue Bridge to Oak Street Beach, the upscale shopping district boasts the highest concentration of luxury boutiques and retail department stores in the city.
When I visited Chicago last year, I was not only amazed by its shopping district but also its architecture including the Water Tower and Willis Tower.
I like how this boulevard is packed with interesting buildings, has different types of restaurants, coffee shops, bars and brand-name stores. There’s so much to see and so much to do, and while I think I missed out on several hidden places, the ones I went to were impressive! It really has everything you could be looking for, and the open spaces are great to walk around in, even during the colder weather months.
